Winter is here and we’re always looking for new ways to get creative with our gorgeous beads. We’ve gone ‘old skool’ and brought back the macrame hanging plant basket but with our own bold bright Nalu twist! These are so much fun to make but depending on the knots you choose, can certainly be challenging! With plenty of easy to follow macrame video tutorials on Youtube, these will keep you busy until the Spring.
We’ve done a variety of different colours, some with the classic Nalu macrame knotting and some with brand new knots that even we haven’t tried before. We love the clash of bright colours, especially the vibrant Coral cord with the cool Turquoise Spacer beads but equally love the Lemon with Grey.
All of these used 3 reels of 3m cord, using the excess for the gathering knots and tying off ends. You could add a few sets of Spacer beads or just add your favourite Surf or Snow spot bead to the end as in the Thistle hanger above which has been finished with the Bude bead.
These hangers make fab gifts but we liked these so much we want to keep them for ourselves! If you would like us to make you a Nalu Plant Hanger please let us know and we can build them to your custom requests, prices start at just £15.00 for the basic ones. All of the above are available to buy too, please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org for more information.
