Our latest Snow beads are inspired by the gorgeous Swiss snow resorts. We’ve included Davos, Verbier and Zermatt as pictured below which share gorgeous blue hues and a crisp white.

Zermatt is a busy resort town in Switzerland that lies below the iconic Matterhorn peak. This town is renowned for great skiing, climbing and hiking. The word “zermatt” derives from the word “alpine meadows” so we’ve used colours found in the beautiful meadows in the mountains. We utilized the frit blend used in the Davos beads to create a cohesive collection. This bead has a crisp white colour which showcases the frit blend beautifully. Once cooled the bead is then tumbled to give a frosty matte finish.

The Alpine town of Davos has one of the largest ski resorts based in the Swiss Alps. This town in Switzerland is famed as having a great hockey team and boasts fantastic cross-country skiing. Our bead encompasses a white base bead which is then rolled in a frit blend. Our frit blend is a mixture of different coloured pieces of glass that represents aspects of the town. We’ve used a combination of blue and teal hues to portray the pretty meadows. We couldn’t resist adding gold for sparkle and then we have added clear encasing to add depth. Different sized white spots have been added making us think of varying amounts of snow fall. Each of our beads are unique due to them being handmade, so you can expect to see slight variation within each design. To shop the Davos bead head over here.

In the south west of Switzerland, sits the alpine village of Verbier. Verbier has trails on the Mont Fort Glacier. From these trails you can see spectacular views over the Matterhorn and Mont Blanc. Verbier has beautiful alpine scenery so we designed this bead with this as our inspiration. First we made a a light teal glass bead with an ingredient incorporated to produce a bubble effect. The white lines were applied to indicate the “off piste ” trails.
